Thomas C. Melzer – Managing Director Mr. Melzer is a managing director and founder of RiverVest Venture Partners. He has extensive leadership experience in finance, management, economic policymaking and board of directors service. Presently, he is a member of the board of directors of Isto Technologies, a tissue engineering company, Kereos, Inc., a RiverVest portfolio company, and the Federal Farm Credit Banks Funding Corporation. He also serves on the National Council for the John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University, the President's Council of St. Louis University, the Stanford Institute of Economic Policy Research Advisory Board and the board of directors of Junior Achievement of Mississippi Valley, Inc., where he is a former chairman. Previously, Mr. Melzer was the president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis where he directed the bank's activities in formulating monetary policy, supervising banks and providing payments services to depository institutions. In addition, he served on the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the Federal Reserve System's chief monetary policymaking body. Mr. Melzer received his M.B.A. and B.S. in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
